Area: Ballantyne, Charlotte, Indian Trail, Monroe, Mint Hill, SouthPark, Weddington, Waxhaw, and almost everywhere else

Pets have always been my passion. We lived on a farm when I was little and always had pets after that. I moved to the Charlotte area, with 6 cats and 4 birds (that was a fun 10 hour drive), from PA in July 2001 for a position in Human Resources for a local company. During this time I was pet sitting part time here in the Carolinas. In June 2006, I decided to leave the company that I had been with for 5 years and provide pet care in the Charlotte area full time. And so, Carolinas' Critter Sitters was created. I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Kutztown University in Kutztown, PA. I also have an MBA from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA. I am thrilled to be able provide pet care and live my dream.

Title: PSI Certified Professional Pet Sitter

Area: SouthPark, Park Road, Dilworth, Cotswold

I am a native and lifelong resident of Charlotte and a graduate of UNC Charlotte and Winthrop University. I have been pet sitting since March 2009, and I am so happy to be in my seventh year with Carolinas' Critter Sitters.

I am mom to three wonderful rescue kitties. My sweet, sassy tortie Katina is 12. She puts up with two rowdy brothers, Quinley, 4, a bundle of energy who does not let being deaf slow him down at all, and Laurence, 3, who manages to be a mama's boy and Quin's best buddy and loyal sidekick all at the same time!

I am a member of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) and Pet Sitters International (PSI). I am a PSI Accredited Pet Sitter, having earned my Certified Professional Pet Sitter designation in June 2013. I have also successfully completed the American Red Cross Cat & Dog First Aid course. I am comfortable administering many types of medications including inhalers, injections, and subcutaneous fluids.

In my free time, I volunteer as an animal transporter helping to move rescue animals (usually kitties) to their foster and forever homes. I truly love working with animals and look forward to caring for your pets!

Title: Pet Sitter

Area: Southwest Charlotte, Steele Creek, Fort Mill, Tega Cay

I am originally from New Jersey and have been living in Charlotte since 2000. I am an elementary school teacher. I have 2 Maltese dogs that are spoiled to no end. I am very kind, loving and patient when it comes to people or animals. I've always had a pet growing up--dogs, goldfish, and I'd often rescue an animal and bring it home for my mom! I met Jennifer in 2001, when she moved into my neighborhood. We became friends through the adventures of our dogs. I still enjoy pampering pets, long walks and taking care of my furry friend. I know how important it is for them to have lots of TLC when you can't be home.

Title: Pet Sitter

Area: Dilworth, Cotswold, South End, Uptown, SouthPark

I am originally from PA, but have lived in Charlotte for since 1997. For as long as I can remember, animals have always been a love of mine. After reading that almost 18 MILLION U.S. households own pets*, I know I'm not alone. Pets are family! Growing up, playing with animals was something I didn't have to be told to do. I have always been that friend who would watch your pets while you went out of town because the love I have for animals comes naturally to me. I do enjoy pampering pets and taking them for walks and watching them play! Essentially, I live through the pet owner and treat the pet as my own when helping out. The love, loyalty and excitement that comes from animals is genuine and is always something I want to be around. :) I will be an enthusiastic, organized, proactive planner for you and your family.

Title: Pet Sitter

Area: Ballantyne, Indian Land, Fort Mill, South Charlotte

After living in Las Vegas for about 12 years I moved to Charlotte in 2009 along with my husband, my son, and our pug Spencer, (which I often refer to as our first born). We are happy and blessed to be able to call this amazing city home, and I'm pretty sure Spencer approves as well.

I started pet and house sitting for friends in Las Vegas. Word of mouth spread and my client base spread from friends to friends of friends. Before I knew it, I had a very busy part-time job caring for pets and homes in addition to my full-time job at a casino. It quickly became apparent to me that caring for pets was a far more gratifying way to spend my time.

In my experiences in pet sitting, I had the opportunity to care for all different kinds of critters including birds, turtles, fresh and salt water fish, ferrets, rabbits, rats, cats, and even a couple of snakes. I found a lot of happiness in getting to know each critter in addition to being able to offer pet owners the sense of security that their precious pets are being cared for in a safe and familiar environment. This is why I am absolutely thrilled to become part of the Carolinas' Critter Sitters team. My goal is to provide each and every pet owner with satisfaction of knowing that their beloved pet will be receiving the same care and attention that I would give to my own.

Title: Pet Sitter

Area: Indian Land, Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Steele Creek

I was born and raised in Maryland and headed south almost 20 years ago after my parents retired to Mt. Pleasant, SC. They later moved to the Charlotte area and I have recently relocated with my own family to Fort Mill. I have a wonderful husband and 3 beautiful daughters. We moved here to be closer to family (my husband's family is from Charlotte) and we thought this would be a great area to raise a family. Growing up, my two siblings and I, each had our own dogs. My sister was always bringing home strays and I would take care of them when she was not home! I absolutely love animals. Currently, we have 3 rescue dogs. We are not quite sure what they all are, but they are very loving and unique. I'm looking forward to pet sitting for you your animals as if they were my own!

Title: Pet Sitter

Area: Midtown

I was born and raised in Charlotte in a large family of five kids. Growing up, I always did pet sitting for our neighbors, and, when I got older, did overnight sitting as well. I grew up with cats and birds and now have two sweet cats, Eloise and Enzo! I worked for the same company all through college and graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2010, earning a BSBA with a concentration in Marketing. Now I’m a Marketing Database Analyst for the advertising firm, hawkeye, and a part-time pet sitter. I look forward to giving your pets the love and care they deserve!

Title: Pet Sitter

Area: East Charlotte, Matthews, Mint Hill

I have always had a love for animals big or small. I am originally from upstate New York. I moved to Charlotte in late 2010, and I love it here. I have had different pets from cats and dogs to fish and bunny rabbits. I have always also had birds and green lizards. I must say that dogs are my all-time favorites, but I love all animals. I believe animals are the perfect example of unconditional love. No matter what, they can always make you smile. Currently, I am the proud owner of an 8-year-old boxer and German shorthair mix. I have had him since he was a puppy, and he is definitely part of the family. I am so excited to meet you and your pets and spend some quality time having fun.

Title: Pet Sitter

Area: Waxhaw, Mineral Springs

My husband and I moved to NC from NJ one year ago (and love it!). I am a stay-at-home mom to our three children, 14, 12, and 8, as well as to our 5-year-old Goldendoodle, Shanni (80 pounds of pure love!), our 4-year-old cat, Molly, and my daughters' lizards, Meeko and Bubba. I grew up in NJ and have always had pets growing up, mostly dogs and cats, but some fish and a bird as well. I know the importance of your pets as they are a part of your family, and I would treat them like my own while you are away from them!

Title: Pet Sitter

Area: Waxhaw, Weddington, Wesley Chapel

Hi there! My name is Michelle and I am so excited to be able to watch your beloved pets while you are away! I have 2 dogs of my own (a golden retriever and a Shiba Inu) as well as 3 children (ages 3, 5 and 6). They may tag along occasionally to help me care for your pets, as they love animals too!! My family and I moved to the Charlotte area 2 years ago from New York and so far we love it. I am a stay at home mother and this job is perfect to enable me to spend time with my children. Growing up I had many pets...hamsters, rabbits, gerbils, cats, dogs and fish. There was never a time in my life that I did not live with an animal of some sort.

My husband and I will be working together as a team to ensure your family is taken care of. If there is ever a time that I am unable to make a visit due to a scheduling conflict, my husband will step in. We want to make sure you and your pet is taken care of while you are away so you will not worry. So as you see, this is a family affair!! We are all looking to developing relationships with your family as well as caring for your pets as if they were our own.

Title: Pet Sitter

Area: Mint Hill, Harrisburg, Midland, parts of Concord

I am NC born and raised, and have lived in Charlotte since 1988. I have 2 grown children, and 2 amazing Grandsons. I have always worked full time in the Mortgage/Banking business, but have also worked for a couple of Animal Hospitals/Boarding facilities and have pet sit on the side. I have had pets my whole life. Currently my husband, Tony, and I have an Orange Tabby named Starsky. He's 12 years old. I adopted him from a family when he was 9 months old because he doesn't play well with other animals. I love all animals, domestic and exotic, so I'm not "creeped out" very easily...except by spiders.. Tony and I are very involved in our Church, and like to volunteer in Non Profit Ministries, as time allows. I live very close to the Mint Hill, Harrisburg, Midland and parts of Concord.

Title: Pet Sitter

Area: Lake Norman, University Area, Concord

I am originally from West Virginia but have lived in the Charlotte area for nearly 15 years. I was married just over a year ago and have a seventeen year old step daughter. I have been in the Mortgage Business for several years and have worked part time at Critter Sitters Resort since the summer of 2015. My dream job (when I win the lottery) is to run a no cost sanctuary for animals belonging to our Military. I think it would be great to care for their animals while they are away and when they return home they know that they will be there to welcome them home. I am an active member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and a volunteer for the American Pit Bull Foundation and the PKD Foundation. I have one dog, she is my baby! Sadie is a Pit Boxer mix that I rescued in 2008, she is 10 years old and is known by most everyone as “Piggy”. We also have a rescued turtle (Yellow Bellied Slider) named SunDoo. We found SunDoo in a gas station parking lot last April on our way to the beach, we believe she was washed into the lot after a heavy rain storm. We have raised her since she was a tiny hatchling, she was smaller than a 50 cent piece when we found her! I l grew up with and love all animals! I had a rescued Cat named Angel or “Muttley”, but she passed away in 2013. I would love to have another cat/kitten and my husband would love to have a Bearded Dragon but because we currently in a townhouse, we just don’t have the room for any more animals. With the purchase of a new home in the near future, there will certainly be additional animals added to our family!
